Fucking winz

Here I was thinking that I was not getting the dole, because I had earned too much for my art.
But no, it was just another case of winz fucking up my benifit again. So I was getting a benifit, it's just they where not paying me. I think that because they have not been giving me the benifit

So now I have to declear my earnings as if I was a dole when I was not getting a dole.

And it gets even more confusing. Because I work for myself at symposiums, I don;t know if I will will get any money for it or when I will get any money. The Winz system goes, oh you worked for three weeks, y did u not tell us... but it's not until I have finished working and the gamble o the auction has happened that I then see if I have made any money or not. I don't fit there model of employment at all for them and feel hasseled because of my situation. I also have other issues with winz, ie the sickness benifit, i get doctors bills and send them to winz then they drip feed that money back to me over the year, but I don't get the drip feed the doctors. So I loose cash here. It's just a crock of shit, they make all the rules to suit them and not to give me justic.

Ugggh, so I have a meeting tomorrow to see if I can sort out what's going on.
I'm finiding it very depressing and my anxity levels are going through the roof.

Tagging dogs

Well the farmers are complaining that they will have to pay to get there dogs tagged.
I don't know why as the cost can be written off as a business expense and it will also make the owners of dogs shot on other farms for worrying stock accountable.

It's just silly to see the farmers crying over it.

Compressor, problem!!!!

My compressor is having a problem, The area called the exaust, that comes off the motor isn't working. It's 100% not there. This makes the 10HP petrol motor, the noiseiest machine that I have operated. Yes, it's a new personal best, but I did not get shut down, but OMG i have to fix it....

The whole compressor needs a total makeover, insterlation. Yes, I think I wrote of the b4.

So I have to work out and cut and bend the metal to form the frame.

licence fees

The BBC has billions generated by licence fees, that allow's the BBC to fund new media ventures.
This has made them the BBC the biggest content creator in Britain
and its web portal is the sixth most popular news site in the world.
There was 14.2 million unique visitors in January 06 with #1 Yahoo News had 34.4 million?

This system of fee generation is built into the rate and used in New Zealand by local goverment to generate funding for the arts. Japan is another country that has local goverment and courperations that budget for arts funding.

And again I have another random thought #42638194uX20 I would love to see blogger, used / accessed by http://www.writely.com it's has got wusiwug as well as an html editor. And OMG google recently aquired them. Does google do fine art like slipping sartchie?

myob tips

Part of the attraction for MYOB is that they are optimised to work very closely with WINZ professionals.

They have a complete range of solutions for WINZ managers, such as WebConnect
that facilitates exchanges of data and reports between the accountant and the client
or Optimist for advanced financial planning.

This focus on solutions for both businesses, goverments and accountants is a
powerful one-two punch for streamlined financial management.

Multitasking.

This is a strange myth going around that woman are better at multitasking. I have looked into multitasking and understand that the norm for the word has strong references to windows multitasking, which is an interupt driven system list. Not too efficaint at true mulitasking.
But I digress, and I think that along with the multitasking syteles of men are more task orenitated, like then im cutting rock, i have safty gear running (studio, symposium), tool reports (noise, vibration, heat, flow of motor, flow of blade...) And I cut the line with the tool I operate. instant, tasks going on.

web2.0 apps

Well I have been looking at a couple of web apps to help sort my biz. I have been using three web applications, not counting blogger, gmail and flickr.

www.calendarhub.com great little calendar program. exports as ical for use in other apps. www.writely.com a web2 word processor. exports as html rtf and soon pdf too. Easy to use also. www.voo2do.com this is a todo list system. im just using the baics but it looks ok. It needs to be tied into the calendar. But is great for getting down the ideas the come to me.

Best of all with these applications, all the data is online. I don't mind the privacy issues and I love that if my computer dies, i don't loose my data due to not having a backup.
Just to see how the idea of online documents can work.

Brain fart with the boss

What am I?

I have a boss who is lazy, and an employe who is lazy.

My boss gets me into all these jobs. can it be done he's asked. Sure he says,
and i have to sort it out what being done and he's a lazy bugger and doesn't help.

My worker lacks vision and forthought and should get a watch.

Feilding and Districts Art Awards

10th March Entry forms close. I can submit two works total, I asked why, and was told that space was the problem. So I'm going to enter two sculptures. The one below and a new one.
pod

I need to get my $20 entry fee in before the 10th (Friday) along with the paper work.
*groans on about something about hating paperwork ---- stops --- sooooothing breaths...*

I will deliver the Work on the 17th march at the feilding and district art schizoid center.

They have a 1 cubic meter and easy to move rule, which is sweet and still lets me make a tall bowl form that Ive been working on.

Laptop computer

Well it looks like the laptops on hold. Would have been great being mobile when I was mobile.
Looking at the hardware I can get now, it's not a good time to buy as I require stuff like, FireWire 800 (9-pin) and Gigabyte and there seems to be no cheap ati gfx processors and did I mention AMD mobile dual cores are current not out in mass production almost. So I shall wait. And make some more money.

Now I'm grounded and reality is taking shape again. Money is becoming a problem. yes, if i make money, i dont get money. By that i mean, if i earn income, then the goverment stops paying me. I feel cold without this income blanket, but I also think it's good as I have been getting income. I will have to have a meeting (and im not good at them) to see when I can resume my poverty. I got a letter from IRD too, they want there money and will taking mesures to collect it. So I will have to clean that up too.

So it looks like I need to try and make some more money to get my laptop. Might consult my IT manager and see if the external ide storage will be the go.

telecom

I just fond this segment of a report on Telecom NZ and it is as I thought it was.

Telecom maintains a stranglehold on the local access market in fixed line voice and broadband.
Telecom began a rollout of its NGN network in 2005, however a 2012 completion date will leave New Zealand well behind the rest of the developed world.
From 2003 to 2005 the industry saw a significant rise in the use of wireless technologies as serious competition to the more traditional copper and fibre optic-based solutions.
A number of niche fibre optic networks had also been established by late 2005.
Without regulatory intervention to introduce Local Loop Unbundling, the low broadband penetration in New Zealand will not likely to get much better during 2006 and 2007.

job bathroom laundry studio

Re building that area is another couple of days work.

I want to ditch the dinky tub to trademe and install the tub i have in the container?

I need to re-move the taps to the new location.
I also want a fold down work top for winter working in studio mode,
that means fitting bench grinder or a tim saw and plastic walls.

jobs:

Well it's time to get the compressor going if I'm going to make a start to get to the feilding art center tomorrow to enter the local compitition. I see I have a week, so there is no stress to produce something simple, like a blow, or a bench. Entries close next Friday.

So I got to get the compressor some gas and I have to get it a new home as the tarp city does't go abd I also want to increase the total reserve size by fitting another reserve tank. And I got to get the long term storage area higher. Also a lifting frame should be added to make to moveable. Also fitting space for air filter and oiler as well as high flow and low flow hoses. I am looking at going cubic, like a large sculpture. X*Y*Z dimensions.

The list grows and grows

Box art is a plan, The idea of making a set/scene inside a box. The outside of the box's can contain warnings, ie PG R ... Because these are set in sets, they should also contain a theme, a story. Culture Horror Panic sounds like a sexy cool sweetie.

Doll art well if u know me u know what this is.

Stone Works - sculpture. functional art.

lighting stones, split in to 2. Then the top hollowed as a lid, that contain electronic instearlation space. Another way with the legs as electrodes, to recharge the power cells and projecting up.

And still I sit and try to think outside the box.

Back in Feilding again

Well im back again in Feilding, Blobing out after slaving away making art. Damb symposiums sound like residence's to me if they have no management. So now, im home again, working on the design of my studio and also researching design and marketing. Yes, boys can do multitasking too. I am looking at having an exhibition in Palmerston North and might take it to Wellington Also if I can.

Box art is a plan I have been thinking off.

box's that contain warnings on the outsides and doll art on the inside.

stones that contain electronic insterlation spaces.

bows - functional art.

benches - furniture art
